meet emily — holistic & somatic therapist in Boulder, CO
Emily Olsen Black is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and the founder of Integrate Holistic Psychotherapy, a holistic and somatic therapy practice based in Boulder, Colorado. With nearly a decade of clinical experience and an even longer personal journey as a seeker, yogi, and student of the body, Emily brings a rare depth to her work — one that is equally rooted in rigorous clinical training and lived, embodied wisdom.
Emily specializes in somatic therapy, trauma healing, attachment work, and psychedelic integration, offering a therapeutic space that is warm, relational, and deeply attuned. Her approach is anything but one-size-fits-all. Sessions are collaborative and individualized, co-created with each client to honor their unique history, nervous system, and goals.
If you've ever felt like traditional talk therapy skimmed the surface of something deeper — or like the healing you're looking for lives somewhere in your body that words alone can't quite reach — you may have found your person.
who emily works with
Emily's clients are deep-feelers, high-achievers, seekers, and cycle-breakers — people who are done settling for "fine" and ready to do the real work of becoming more fully themselves. Most have tried traditional therapy before and found it helpful but incomplete. They're looking for something that goes deeper.
most of emily’s clientele are:
high-achievers of all kinds: from public facing individuals, elite athletes & performers to c-suite executives to fellow therapists & healing professionals
women building awareness of their needs and desires in relationship, cultivating secure attachment
highly sensitive people (HSPs) / deeply feeling humans
adult children of emotionally immature parents
spiritual seekers and folks living intentional alternative lifestyles

values that guide emily's work
Emily is an LGBTQ+ allied practitioner, committed to ongoing queer allyship and anti-racist work. She strives to hold space for the full impact that oppressive societal systems — on the basis of race, gender, sexuality, and ability — have on each person's mental health, sense of self, and access to healing.
You are welcome here exactly as you are.
emily’s therapeutic approach
Emily's work is grounded in the understanding that the mind and body are not separate — and that real, lasting healing happens when we work with both.
Drawing from her extensive training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (SPI), trauma-informed yoga, classical yoga, nervous system healing, and nearly a decade of shamanic apprenticeship and facilitation, Emily integrates somatic, experiential, and mindfulness-based approaches into every session. This means therapy with Emily isn't just about gaining insight — it's about feeling the shift in your body, your nervous system, and your relationship with yourself.
emily works with clients navigating:
trauma & PTSD — including developmental, relational, sexual, and complex trauma
anxiety & nervous system dysregulation — getting underneath the symptoms to find the root
attachment wounds & relationship patterns — healing the early experiences that shape how we connect
life transitions & identity shifts — finding footing when everything feels uncertain
spiritual emergence & psychedelic integration — making meaning of profound experiences
holistic women's health — supporting women through hormonal, cyclical, and relational healing
Her aim is to help you get back in touch with your own inner compass, reconnect with your heart, and rediscover your own personal magic — not by following someone else's map, but by learning to trust your own.
